Suicoke’s EMEA General Director Picks His 5 Favorite SS21 Styles

Japanese sandal brand Suicoke has been around for quite some time, offering an elevated take on simple slippers and sandals. Collaborations with Aimé Leon Dore, BAPE, Tyler, the Creator, and John Elliott have established Suicoke as the sneakerhead’s go-to when it comes to slip-on footwear.

While most sneaker brands struggled initially to adapt to a pandemic-riddled 2020, Suicoke’s wearability indoors helped the brand’s popularity rise earlier this year. Now, with a strong FW20 collection already in stores and an SS21 collection on the way, Sucioke’s EMEA director, Enrico Pasi, shares his five favorite styles from the upcoming range.

Read on for Pasi’s take on his selection and what’s new from the Japanese footwear brand. Here’s to hoping we’ll be able to wear our shoes — Suicoke or not — outdoors more often in 2021.

Leta

Influences from the trekking and outdoor world are always key elements in Suicoke’s collections, so we opted for a brand-new closure deriving from that world.

Gut

This style is remarkable for many reasons. The sole, for example, is a unique Vibram sole. Also, fun fact: Kim Kardashian recently posted a picture of the early version of this style on Instagram. She looks like she is enjoying Suicoke, just as much as Kanye (who was papped many times wearing the Moto style).

Boak

Suicoke’s choice of color is always strong. This gladiator-style sandal with a neoprene sock gives off a psychedelic vibe remixed in a futuristic way.
I also like the contrast between the clear lines of the upper (the grid-like structure) and the free-form splash of colour on the sock.

Evo

This is a new style with a neoprene zippable overshoe/cover up. It’s the perfect fusion between sandals and shoes because you get the advantages from both worlds. I also like the desert-inspired camouflage.

Five Fingers Collab Part 2

Our collaboration with Vibram and its Five Fingers was a hit with press and stores last season, so we decided to relaunch the silhouette with new colorways.

Suicoke’s SS21 collection is set to arrive at select retailers worldwide soon.
