Joe Biden Has Won the 2020 Presidential Election


The results are in. Joe Biden has won the 2020 United States presidential election.

Biden will become the 46th president of the United States upon being sworn into office on January 20, 2021. His running mate, Kamala Harris, has secured her spot as the first female vice president, after being the first woman of color to be nominated for national office by a major political party.

Biden previously served as vice president under Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. Prior to, he acted as United States senator for Delaware from 1973 to 2009.

Harris was previously the junior United States senator from California dating back to 2017. She became the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate upon winning the 2016 Senate election.

Biden and Harris defeated Donald Trump and Mike Pence in the 2020 presidential election.
