Apple’s “One More Thing” Event: What to Expect

Apple has announced a “One More Thing” event for November 10, where we’re likely to see the first arm-based Macs that run on Apple Silicon chips. Apple has relied on Intel processors since 2005 and will make the switch in order to get better performance with lower power consumption.

Apple announced the switch over from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon CPUs in June at WWDC and promised that the new laptops would arrive in late 2021.

The “One More Thing” event was announced with an augmented reality teaser. The virtual apple logo offers another clue that the event will reveal the new laptop. As you can see in the video below, the Apple symbol slopes flat to the floor like the lid of a laptop.

Rumors suggest that Apple hope to roll out Apple chips for its entire product lineup. Alongside the Apple Silicon reveal, the event’s program may offer a first look at the macOS 11 Big Sur, which was also announced at WWDC 2020.

Apple’s “One More Thing” Event kicks of at 10 AM PST On November 10.
