Over the weekend, DJ Khaled confirmed that Drake‘s vocals will feature on his upcoming record “BEEN IN” and revealed that the track will be a “POP CHUNE.”
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Khaled gave an update on what is rumored to be the lead track on his forthcoming album. “DEM boy ah make POP CHUNE WE ah make CHUNE ah go POP POP PON YOUR HEAD TOP,” he wrote, before tagging Drake and his OVO label.
In a followup post, Khaled revealed that not one but two songs featuring Drake will be arriving this Friday, July 17.
Back in May, DJ Khaled teased that Drake would feature on the album when he incorporated owl emojis into an Instagram post about the project.
In a recent Drink Champs interview, he confirmed the rumor, telling N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, “Drake is definitely on DJ Khaled’s single, and the vocals sound so incredible.” Watch below.
Later in the interview, Khaled explained, “That’s my brother. That’s like family to me. Drake, he’s always supported me. Think about the records we’ve made.” Drake and Khaled are both signed to Cash Money and were collaborating before Father of Asahd.
