Kanye West is prepping a new album called God’s Country. The rapper/designer took to Twitter today to tease a song from the project, titled “Wash Us in the Blood.”
News of the upcoming album arrives as Kanye is still celebrating #WESTDAYEVER, following a string of announcements that began last week. He first revealed a 10-year partnership between Gap and his clothing brand, YEEZY, and then shared a preview of an animated show inspired by his 2018 album with Kid Cudi, Kids See Ghosts. West also teased his revamped YEEZY SUPPLY website designed by Nick Knight and dropped the music video for College Dropout hit, “Spaceship.”
Fans of Ye can look forward to a James Turrell-directed Jesus Is King film as well, in addition to a version of the album produced by Dr. Dre.
God’s Country will serve as a followup to Jesus Is King, which released in October of 2019. Kanye also dropped Jesus Is Born with his Sunday Service Choir last Christmas.
Be sure to stay tuned for more on God’s Country, including the release of project track, “Wash Us in the Blood,” with a video by Arthur Jafa.
