adidas Is Handing Out New YEEZY Sneakers in Chicago

Kanye West and adidas appear to be in a giving mood. With this year’s NBA All-Star festivities taking over West’s hometown of Chicago this weekend, adidas has decided to hand out his new YEEZY QNTM basketball sneaker to those in the area.

The shoes are being paraded around town in tank-like vehicles first seen in Kanye’s “Follow God” and “Closed on Sunday” music videos. Those fortunate enough to be near where the military-esque convoy is roaming around are being given the YEEZY QNTM for free.

West and adidas are reportedly releasing two YEEZY basketball sneakers during NBA All-Star Weekend 2020 in Chicago. Up for grabs are the strikingly similar YZY QNTM as well as the YZY BSKTBL.

The YZY QNTM is considered to be more of a lifestyle sneaker in comparison to its counterpart. The shoe boasts a Primeknit upper and suede toecap, as hits of white, silver, grey, and black come together throughout. It also features 3M touches and a full-length, enclosed Boost midsole.

Court ready, the YZY BSKTBL is noticeably similar to the YZY QNTM, while welcoming a plastic cage over the Primeknit detailing. The reflective 3M accents found on the YZY QNTM are absent from the YZY BSKTBL. It does, however, incorporate a full-length Boost midsole as well.

Both priced at $250, the sneakers are expected to release exclusively at select stores in Chicago on February 16.
