Highsnobiety aims to provide our readers with the latest updates in the sneaker world. However, we cannot verify the reliability of any unauthorized leaks or rumors unless this information is provided directly by the brands themselves.

Leaked product images suggest we could be seeing a “Reverse Taxi” version of the Nike Air Jordan 12 dropping soon. The images, shared on Twitter by J23, look to be official Nike product imagery, meaning an announcement can’t be too far off. The rumored release date is October 31.

The colorway flips the OG “Taxi” colorway, which features a white, tumbled-leather upper, Taxi gold pops on the lace stays and black leather finishing the upper. This version features an all black leather upper instead, with taxi gold on the lace stays, and a white outsole where the original was black.

If you ask most experienced Air Jordan collectors what their favorite colorway of the Jordan 12 silhouette is, the answer you’ll likely receive is the “Taxi” colorway of the sneaker. The most recent retro of the Taxis took place in 2013, with several Taxi-inspired colorways dropping in the years since.

As always, the accuracy of leaks cannot be verified until we get official confirmation from brands. However, with the existence of what looks to be Nike product imagery, it’s safe to expect some sort of official announcement in the near future. Stay tuned for updates.
