BALR. is one of those brands you only know if you’re actually into football. Founded by three footballers, the Dutch lifestyle brand has been steadily gaining traction on and off the pitch for its elevated performance gear, travel products, and accessories for men and women. Now, PUMA has tapped BALR. for a new collection comprising a sneaker, football boot, and performance and lifestyle apparel.
The capsule collection draws on the technical expertise both brands are known for, as well as BALR.’s smooth design that merges style with function. On the collaboration, BALR.’s Creative Director Demy de Zeeuw stated, “Our collaboration with PUMA is for those who live football and show as much style on the pitch as they do off of it.”
The highlight of the drop is, without a doubt, the footwear offering which counts the super sleek FUTURE 4.1 football boot and the FUTURE ORBITER sneaker. The sleek black cleat, which made its on-pitch debut last Saturday courtesy of FC Barcelona player Antoine Griezmann in their fixture against the Spanish club Eibar, features a backside knit on the heel and as the lining and a white PUMA logo and the wording “LIFE OF A BALR.” on the heel. Designed to be worn on the street, the FUTURE Orbiter takes the upper of the performance cleat boot and adds a lifestyle-ready sole.
Completing the collection is a comprehensive set of all-black football apparel including hoodies, sweatpants, and match shirts and shorts for anyone looking for stealthy sportswear. Each garment is embalmed with PUMA’s leaping cat and BALR. lettering in white.
