Chance the Rapper took to Instagram last night to reveal via an excited, all-caps announcement that he’s set to host and perform on Saturday Night Live later this month.
The rapper is set to take over SNL on October 26, a move that will make him the 27th person in the show’s history to pull “double duty” — he has appeared as a musical guest twice before, and hosted once.
“IM FINALLY ACCOMPLISHING MY LIFE LONG GOAL!!,” he captioned the post. “SINCE I WAS A SHORTY I WANTED TO JOIN THE SHORT LIST OF TALENTS WHO PULLED #DOUBLEDUTY … NOW I WILL BE THE 27TH PERSON ACROSS 45 SEASONS TO HOLD THIS HONOR!”
Chance went on to thank a number of people including Donald Glover, Drake, and MC Hammer, for making helping to make his dreams a reality. Check out his post in full below.
