Last week, following the launch of Issue 19 of Highsnobiety Magazine at End. with Blondey McCoy, we headed from Central to South London to shut down Phonox club with our friends at Mantra.

The special Highsnobiety Soundsystem event was part of a series of parties at the Brixton mainstay that showcases some of the finest new hip hop acts emerging from the UK Capital. Alongside crowd-pleasing sets from renowned party-starters Bossy LDN and Pxssy Palace, producer J Rick stepped-up to represent the Octavian-fronted Essie Gang collective, and was joined for a surprise performance by ‘Bet’ hitmaker, Michael Phantom. Highsnobiety Soundsystem resident No Waste rounded off the night, following a second high-energy surprise set by East-London upstart MC, Rushy.
