Saturday marked the launch of Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s new collaboration with Moncler at London’s Frieze Music event. Titled 7 Moncler Fragment Hiroshi Fujiwara, the collection blends both brands renowned aesthetics and pulled a crowd befitting of the Japanese designer’s cult following.
Fujiwara’s signature style can be felt throughout the collection, which mixes vintage, military, and cultural references with Moncler’s tech and performance-focused design. Bold lettering and slogans such as “Team Positive Force” appeared on reinterpreted parka jackets and bombers, which were built from a range of matte and reflective padded nylons. Wardrobe stapes synonymous with Americana feature in the capsule too, arriving in the shape of buffalo check shirts, teddy fleece jackets, and selvedge denim jeans.
