Streetwear pioneer Freshjive drops its Fall 2019 campaign and with it the accompanying collection. Shot by Dan Regan, Freshjive linked up with Los Angeles locals, Barrington Darius from Watts and Zephyr Wilson from Venice, like the brand did in its earliest days.
For its seasonal fall offerings, the brand focused on traditional street-style silhouettes and styling, many that founder Rick Klotz originally come up with in the 1990s. Just like the ’90s, Freshjive is producing most of this season’s styles in Los Angeles. Fabrics are sourced from the best mills around the world and consist largely of durable cottons, nylons, corduroy, denim, bull denim, canvas, and flannel.
Longtime fans of the brand will notice an absence of heavy graphics as Freshjive eschews logos this season to focus on fit and silhouette, a reaction to the heavy amount of branding that dominates today’s streetwear scene. However, the brand did elect to bring back the classic Freshjive logotype, alongside the starburst “sport” logo across a few particular styles.
