It sounds as though Young Thug has a hefty tax bill to pay if a new report via The Blast is anything to go by. The rapper, real name Jeffery Lamar Williams, has been served another lien (a right to possess another person’s property until a debt is paid) over unpaid taxes, which means he now owes a total debt of $175,000.
The Blast claims it acquired court documents that state The Georgia Department of Revenue has issued Thug a tax lien that accuses him of failing to pay a tax bill issued in 2014. Originally that sum was $16,451.27 and has grown over the years because of interest rates ($6,225.31), penalties ($4.178.03), and collection costs ($3.290.25). This almost doubles the original fee, taking it to $30,194.86.
That new sum adds on to a previous tax lien issued to Thug at the end of July, according to an earlier report from The Blast. That fee was for $145,794.03 for the year 2015. Again, the original fee was much less ($85,254) but has grown with interest ($21,125.88), penalties ($22,313.35), among other costs.
