Tyler, the Creator’s ‘IGOR’ Has Fans Weeping, Moshing, & Celebrating on Social Media

“This is not Bastard. This is not Goblin. This is Not Wolf. This is Not Cherry Bomb. This is Not Flower Boy. This is IGOR,” Tyler, the Creator declared in a social media message to fans before the release of his fifth studio album.

After a few listens, he’s completely right. From the retro funk, ’80s aesthetic production, to the surprise features, to the personal subjects, to forgoing rap for singing, Tyler shows us a new vulnerable side that we’ve only briefly seen in other projects. It’s arguably the best album of his career so far, and social media is here for it.

The project is a great listen all the way though, but there are a few notable songs fans can’t stop tweeting about, including “Earfquake” that features a Playboi Carti verse that will send you into an out-of-body experience, “New Magic Wand” that’s turning bystanders into mosh pit leaders, and the emotional “I Don’t Love You Anymore”.

The Internet is on an emotional and spiritual ride with IGOR, and we never want it to end. Since its release, fans have been weeping, moshing, and celebrating the phenomenal album on social media. See below.
