Virgil Abloh‘s new book, Figures of Speech, is scheduled to launch this summer via Prestel. The work essentially combines three books into one, as it was produced in close collaboration with Virgil himself.
Currently available for pre-order, Figures of Speech explores Abloh’s creative output. The catalogue section finds Michael Darling delving into the designer’s interdisciplinary practice, while this portion also includes essays and interviews with influential figures in art, fashion, design, and architecture, including Taiye Selasi, Lou Stoppard, Michael Rock, Samir Bantal, Rem Koolhaas, and Anja Aronowsky Cronberg. Furthermore, the archives section houses over 1,800 previously-unseen images from Virgil’s personal files, and the index then details Abloh’s projects and process, with a vocabulary of themes developed by the designer.
