Los Angeles City Council will rename an intersection in South LA in memory of Nipsey Hussle, who passed away aged 33 last week.
Council member Marqueece Harris-Dawson announced the decision and stated that the intersection between Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue will now be known as Ermias “Nipsey Hussle” Asghedom Square. The move comes after almost half a million people signed a Change.org petition to honor Hussle, calling him a community icon.
