When it comes to 2 Chainz, there’s nothing that the rapper can’t accomplish once he’s set his mind to it. Today, he formally announced that title of his long-awaited fifth studio album is RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE. On top of that, LeBron James is credited as an A&R for the project—yes, you’re reading that correctly. 2 Chainz teased a clip of an in-depth conversation between him and the NBA champion about their collaborative effort on Instagram. The full interview will be available to watch exclusively on Apple Music soon.
RAP OR GO TO THE LEAGUE is officially slated to drop on March 1 via Def Jam Recordings. According to a press release, the title “challenges the notion that the only way out of the inner city is either to become a rapper or a ball player.” Apparently, the intent behind the LP is “celebrating black excellence and focusing on the power of education and entrepreneurship.” Stay tuned here for more updates about 2 Chainz’s forthcoming record.
