Editor’s Notes: Nike has finally unveiled its long-awaited footwear collaboration with Heron Preston. The designer, who previously worked on a pair of Nike Tailwind sunglasses, chose the recently released Huarache E.D.G.E. for the collab.
Preston’s first Nike sneaker debuted during his runway show in Paris yesterday, which also included a number of new footwear styles, including a collaboration with UGG.
“I’m all about telling stories,” says Preston. “Having worked at Nike and understanding the full breadth of product categories the brand has to offer, I wanted to be the person to take on the challenge of identifying and celebrating new stuff.”
The sneaker will be available in two colorways: black with hits of color, and white with red and yellow detailing. Look for the Heron Preston x Nike Huarache E.D.G.E. to drop on February 1, exclusively in the United States.
Next, take a look at the designer’s first-ever solo sneaker, which he teased on Instagram ahead of his Paris show.
