After an exclusive (and fast sold out) collection for Dover Street Market in November 2018, Eli Linnetz Russell’s latest project for Nike can now be shopped at Canadian e-commerce giant SSENSE.

Formerly known for his photography, 25-year-old Los Angeles native Linnetz will likely already be on your radar thanks to his work photographing for Kanye West, including last year’s “Ye” album cover, 2018’s two viral YEEZY campaigns, and Kardashian-West family polaroids, alongside other much talked about work with Lady Gaga and Teyana Taylor.

The latest line by Linnetz’s ERL is not dissimilar from his popular DSM collection, featuring colorful, cartoon-heavy streetwear. Like the previous drop, the new pieces are a collaborative project with both artist Jordan Wolfson and Nike on vibrant blue, green, and purple sweaters, shirts, tees, and accessories.

Inspiration for the designs comes from Pixar films of the ’90s, Venice Beach skaters, and the Santa Monica swim team; all of which contribute to completely laid back, straightforward designs. What’s more, in an interview with Dazed last year, Linnetz professed to steering clear from gifting to so-called influencers in place of letting the designs speak themselves.

“These cut and sew pieces give me a warm, almost home-like feeling,” says Highsnobiety curator Nigel Minani of the drop. “The corduroy shirt has to be my favorite piece. It looks like something you lost a long time ago — something you loved — and all of a sudden you’ve found it in the depths of your closet. There it is and the love is as strong as the very first moment.”
