Italian sneaker designer Michael Cutini has created a custom Air Max WIP after initially learning to design sneakers with PhotoShop mashups.
The shoe is a hybrid of the Air Max 1 upper, constructed from suede, silver high-visibility reflective fabric, and orange material from the Alexander Wang x adidas shoe shopper, and an Air Max 97 sole.
Cutini also utilised the double lacing seen on the OFF-WHITE x Nike sneakers at the SS19 Paris Fashion Week show earlier this year.
The shoe’s colorway takes inspiration from the streets: reflective road signs, traffic lights, and car lights can all be seen throughout the design.

What do you think: should these hybrids go into production? Let us know in the comments.
