Andrea Maack returns with a new unisex perfume for the holiday season, presenting “Dark.” A take on the classic rose note, “Dark” is heavily oxidized rose mixed with violets and leather.
While developing the fragrance, Maack researched historic vampy figures such as “The Blood Countess” of Hungary and Elisabeth “Sisi”of Bavaria, empress of Austria well known for her intense beauty routines. In addition, Maack pulled inspiration from protective elements in fragrance history.
“Dark” obtains opening notes of petit grain, pink berries, and yellow mandarin, paired with green apple, metal, rose, aldehydes, and lemon tree, in addition to Virginia cedar wood, orange blossom, and ambergris. You can purchase the unisex fragrance in select retailers worldwide, as well as online.
