Nicki Minaj‘s new album, Queen, is due out next week, but we may not be getting the anticipated LP on its scheduled release date because of a sample clearance issue. Nicki is taking matters into her own hands to give fans her fourth studio album on time, however, utilizing social media in hopes of solving the problem that stems from a Tracy Chapman sample.
“Tracy Chapman, can you please hit me,” she tweeted, in reference to the track in question. Following, Minaj sent out another tweet, asking if she should “keep date/lose record” or “keep record/push date1 wk.”

“Y’all gon get mad tea on that song too,” she added in a since-deleted post. “I’m high key lookin out for y’all chile. It’s sum GOODT TEA TOO. I’d be willing to sacrifice one more week for this tea! But I haven’t decided. Ugh. Love you,” the 35-year-old artist concluded.
Minaj’s Queen is due out August 10, but as it stands, we’ll have to wait and see if the album arrives on its expected drop date. Regardless, here’s everything we know so far about the project.
