The introduction of Apple watchOS 5 revealed a slew of new features, and for running enthusiasts, the update includes a steps-per-minute metric for indoor and outdoor runs and walks, as well as a new pace alarm for outdoor runs that alerts users when they are behind or ahead of their designated target pace.
Now, the Swoosh is proud to announce that the Nike Training Club app is finally available for the Apple Watch. Working alongside the existing Nike Training Club app for iOS, users have access to over 180 free workouts, ranging from strength and endurance to mobility and yoga featuring the expertise of world-class Nike Master Trainers and elite Nike athletes.
There is one downside however, as workouts have to be started from the iOS version of the Nike Training Club, with the watchOS version serving as a way to check progress than actually initiate workouts.
The Apple Watch app will also offer haptic prompts, heart rate monitoring, calorie burn, and other exercise data that can be seen from the app, with it providing weekly notifications encouraging users to close their Exercise ring.
The app is now available as a free download on the App Store. For more details, head over to Nike.
Also, in case you missed it, Nike is offering free yoga workouts anytime, anywhere.
