Editor’s Notes: Sean Wotherspoon, sneaker designer and co-founder of retailer Round Two, visited Nike’s Beaverton world HQ recently and, as soon as he got back home to Richmond, Virginia, posted a photo on Instagram thanking Nike for the invite. The highlight of the post was an as-yet-unreleased neon-augmented hybrid pair of Air VaporMax 95s. The sneaker features hits of Nike’s iconic volt colorway, with a bulky Air Max 95 upper attached to a black and volt Air VaporMax sole unit.
Nike has been riding the hybrid sneaker wave for a while now, with the Air Max 97 previously getting the VaporMax sole treatment. Now it looks like the Air Max 95 could be next.
@sean_wotherspoon previews an Nike Air Vapormax 95 Hybrid in the classic neon colorway. What are your thoughts on this hybrid? We feel that the proportions don't quite work as the bulkier upper appears to outweigh the Vapormax sole. #hskicks
