Hasbro and Blizzard are partnering to bring gaming fans a set of official Overwatch NERF guns. The first gun is supposedly called the NERF Rival Overwatch Reaper Wight Edition and is due to hit shelves at some point in 2019.
It mimics the Reaper’s in-game looks, however, that’s where the similarities reportedly end. As Business Wire reports, the toy weapon carries eight of Nerf’s Rival rounds, which it can propel at up to 90 feet per second, and includes both a ready indicator and a safety lock.
Each gun also comes with custom NERF Rival rounds with the Overwatch logo that are specifically colored for each blaster.
The report goes on to state that the Reaper will be the first in a series of guns developed in a collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and the NERF Rival brand to bring the iconic Overwatch accessories to life.
The collaboration was first teased back in May by Overwatch’s official Twitter account.
