Looking back at last month’s Fashion Weeks, sports and utility-style sunglasses emerged as the potential next big eyewear trend. From powerhouses like Prada and Kenzo to designers like Heron Preston, more and more brands are incorporating tinted sports sunglasses into their collections.
New York City-based District Vision is the latest eyewear brand to tap into the trend with its new style — the Junya Racer. These sunglasses were specifically designed for running and cycling, although we at Highsnobiety think they look dope for non-athletic pursuits, too. The lenses of the sunglasses are hand-sculpted and tinted, also featuring an eight-base curve which, by wrapping closely to the face, ensures the highest level of protection and performance on your feet or on a bike.
What’s more, District Vision partnered up with Black Men Run NYC for its launch campaign, photographed by Chadwick Tyler. Black Men Run NYC is the NY chapter of Black Men Run, an organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting wellness among black men by offering weekly workouts for all levels.
Retailing for $249, the Junya Racers are available in green, yellow, and pink. See all three pairs below, and click through to shop if you like what you see.
