Classic American eyewear brand MOSCOT recently joined forces with handmade bicycle brand Ascari for a brand new eyewear collaboration. The limited-edition collab dropped on July 10 and includes a pair of optical glasses and sunglasses, paying homage to fifth generation Moscot and current chief design officer Zack Moscot’s great-great-grandfather’s favorite frame — the Lemtosh.
The collaboration sees MOSCOT’s craftsmanship combined with Ascari’s artisanal hand-wrapped techniques, with each pair not only featuring gold titanium rivets and detailing, but also leather on their temples. Only 50 pairs have been made in each style, and every frame — numbered 1 through 50 on the inner temple — has been hand-wrapped in leather by Helio Ascari himself from his Brooklyn studio.
The result is a timeless yet modern pair of glasses for longtime fans of the MOSCOT brand and those just getting to know it. The optical glasses are retailing for $560, while the sunglasses are $590 — both currently available on MOSCOT’s website and in-store, as well as on Ascari’s online store.
