Elon Musk has come under fire following inflammatory comments against a British caver who assisted in the recent Thailand rescue mission to save a boys’ football team and its coach.
Diver Vernon Unsworth, who was involved in the cave rescue, told CNN that Musk’s attempt to aid the rescue with a mini-submarine was a “PR stunt” and that Musk could “stick his submarine where it hurts.” As previously reported, Musk and his engineering team sent over a “kid-sized” submarine to support attempts to free the boys.
In response to Unsworth’s comments, Musk said in a series of now-deleted tweets that he “never saw this British expat guy who lives in Thailand (sus) at any point,” before adding in a subsequent tweet, “Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it.”

As expected after such inflammatory comments, Twitter fired back at the Tesla co-founder, with users criticising Musk’s intentions and credibility. Check out the reactions below.
I swear if you dummies would just let @elonmusk work and stop nitpicking his entire life the entire planet would have internet access, every car would be electric/autonomous and there would be 10,000 people living on Mars right now.

Some advice for @elonmusk’s PR team:
– Draft an apology statement now
– Compile a list of key validators
– Duct tape him to a chair until you’ve destroyed all his internet-connected devices

Elon Musk THINKS he's Tony Stark but really he's that asshole played by Sam Rockwell in Iron Man 2

As Elon Musk is discovering, the only thing differentiating Tony Stark and Lex Luthor is branding,

It's midnight. A forest clearing. Elon Musk mutters to himself over a pond, his face ashen.
"They're… heroes… I should… congratulate them…"
Scowling reflection of Elon Musk, staring up from the water: "call him a pedo"

If you're reading this, you've probably freed just as many kids from a cave in Thailand as Elon Musk. Yet only Elon seems angry about not being patted on the back enough for it. Weird.

Elon Musk really shows money can't buy you taste, intelligence, manners, or any qualities desirable in a functioning human being
— MKupperman (@MKupperman) July 15, 2018
Oh, I see you noticed the framed dollar bill on my wall. Why yes, it is signed by Elon Musk. Well, you see, I won it betting whether a man neither of us had met was a pedophile.

Remember, Elon Musk is not WORTH a billion dollars, he just HAS a billion dollars.
He's not worth any more than any other person who randomly slags off people on the internet.

small brain: elon musk's political donations are bad
big brain: elon musk gives money to lots of causes, some good and some bad
expanding brain: billionaires like elon musk shouldn't be able to apportion money to their pet causes
galaxy brain: billionaires shouldn't exist
— Kate Aronoff (@KateAronoff) July 16, 2018
The only think Musk cares about is his own ego. He acts like a petulant child whenever he receives any form of criticism. Not to mention how bad he is to his own employees.
— Shane (@DeathMagneto) July 15, 2018
Elon Musk shows again how he responds to criticism of any kind. Can dish it to hype his unkept promises but can't take it. Lashing out like an irrational juvenile…with his now deleted pedophile tweets. I hope he gets sued. There, I said it.

The only thing surprising about Elon Musk is that people are surprised. Charismatic, objectively likable man whose success is attributed almost entirely to his intelligence when in fact a large portion derives from being obsessively mean, controlling and underhanded? Shocker.
