LeBron James in Talks to Star in Upcoming Comedy

LeBron James has been Hollywood since he was a teenager. But now that he’s officially a Los Angeles Laker, expect to see even more of the three-time NBA champion, and this includes the big screen.

Variety is reporting that LeBron could be well on his way to starring in an upcoming comedy, recently sold to Paramount Players by James, Steve Mallory, and James’ SpringHill Entertainment. While the project is yet-to-be-titled, Bron is in early talks to feature in the film.

The publication points out that SpringHill and Mallory have been developing the movie for months, with Mallory expected to write the script. James would then produce alongside his SpringHill partner and longtime friend, Maverick Carter. Jamal Henderson and Spencer Beighley have been tapped to oversee the picture for SpringHill, in addition to Paramount Players’ Ali Bell and Gabby Canton.

This wouldn’t be the first time LeBron James has starred on the big screen, however. Previously he played himself in Judd Apatow’s 2015 comedy, Trainwreck.
