Chance the Rapper’s “Come Back, Barack” Is Nominated for an Emmy

Following last year’s nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics with “Jingle Barack,” Chance the Rapper has garnered yet another Emmy nom, this time for his Barack Obama song that he performed on Saturday Night Live back in November.

“Come Back, Barack” was written by Eli Brueggemann, appearing in an SNL skit during an episode of the show that Chance hosted. Just like his previous Emmy nomination, the tune is up for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, going up against Steve Martin’s “The Buddy Song” and music from Netflix’s Big Mouth.

The 2018 Emmys take place September 17. For more on this year’s nominations, follow here.
