Swiss watchmaker Swatch is continuing to bring art to the people, now in a more literal sense. Beginning this month, Swatch presents a new initiative in partnership with various art museums across the globe. The project finds famous artworks showcased on Swatch watches.
The first collaboration is alongside Rijksmuseum in the Netherlands, which is home to more than 8,000 displayed pieces, including historical objects dating back to the year 1200 and leading up to the present. These three new watch designs, which will also be available at the Rijksmuseum shop, are a part of the brand’s “Worldhood” FW18 collection.
You can look forward to more art museum collaborations from Swatch in the near future.
In related news, these watches are helping get guns off the streets.
