Following his departure from Louis Vuitton, Kim Jones is set to make his bow as artistic director of Dior Homme — launching his inaugural SS19 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Naturally, critics and fashion enthusiasts alike are eager to see what the designer will offer as Kris Van Assche’s successor.
Given his knockout final runway show at Louis Vuitton and the mounting pressure of his new role, we’re expecting something big from Jones for Dior SS19. We’ve gathered everything you need to know about the show, including when, where, and what to expect.
Read through what we know so far and check back for updates as they pop up.
Dior Homme’s SS19 show takes place at Paris Fashion Week Men’s on Saturday, June 23 at 5 p.m. local time (11 a.m. EST).
Dior Homme’s FW18 show was streamed online, which gives us reason to believe the SS19 runway will also be live-streamed. Currently, there are few details, but if you check Dior’s social pages and website nearer the time, you’re likely to find the information you need.
1st day of work as a jewelry designer. Team @mrkimjones @Diorhomme 💪🏽‼️
In April, it was revealed that AMBUSH co-founder Yoon Ahn would be joining Dior Homme at its creative lead for jewelry design. Her Tokyo-based label has been crafting accessories and pieces for clients such as UNDERCOVER, OFF-WHITE, and Louis Vuitton when it was under Jones.
Ahn’s debut collection with Dior is currently under wraps, but we’re in no doubt that the accessories will be as striking as ever. AMBUSH will also debut its “Waves” collection in Paris the same week.
