Like most classic sneaker silhouettes, the Puma GV Special is rooted in championship-winning sport. Named after legendary Argentine tennis player Guillermo Vilas in the late 1970s, Vilas was the first South American player to win a Grand Slam and had a flare for style, which was interpreted throughout the GV Special.

The Argentine tennis ace went on to win a total of four Grand Slams, but not before becoming a certified legend among tennis and Puma fans alike. The GV Special features breathable perforated leather uppers that sit atop a distinctly thick outsole giving the silhouette its unmistakably unique look.

You can cop a pair of your own GV Specials now at for $65.
