Brand: Nike

Model: Dunk Low PRM QS Paris

Key Features: Aged leather uppers composed in a herringbone pattern, and directly inspired by the original leather basketball and the flooring in the Trévise gymnasium, the oldest indoor basketball court in the world, located in Paris. The two shades of the shoes’ leather (one dark brown, the other pale beige), replicate the chromatic tint of the wood of the Parisian gym.

The lighter-colored Dunks also feature rubber soles, and the Dunks boast a specific string-style lacing weave, a reference to the gym’s training ropes as well as its basketball nets. The colored toes are a reference to the two iron pillars on the court. The hint of gold on the heels is a nod to the un-pickable lock invented by Georges Vuitton. The tongues and heels also replicate the commemorative plaque displayed in the gym with gold and black accents.

Release Date: Sunday, June 10

Editor’s Notes: Nike celebrates the iconic Trévise gym in Paris, the oldest indoor basketball court in the world today (created in 1893), and considered as basketball’s gateway to Europe, with two limited edition variations of the Nike Dunk Low.

The Nike Dunk was one of the brand’s first basketball silhouettes, created in 1985, hence utilizing the style to further commemorate its heritage. The models have been elevated with the aforementioned details listed above.

Rendered in colorways of “Ale Brown/Summit White” and “Elemental Gold/Sail,” production of each pair is extremely limited, with fewer than 200 per color. In addition, all proceeds will be going to the YMCA and their crowfunding campaign to renovate the gymnasium.
