Editor’s Notes: Three years after the original adidas Ultra Boost took the world by storm, the brand with the Three Stripes is bringing back the OG colorway that started it all.

While the Ultra Boost is already on its fourth iteration (adidas released the Ultra Boost 4.0 last December), fans of the silhouette have been longing for a return of the original Primeknit pattern and black/purple colorway seen above. According to Rev Up Sports, sneakerheads seem to have gotten their wish. As Sole Collector reports, the retailer has apparently confirmed that the sneaker will be released in December.

Curiously, the stock images Rev Up Sports uses show the sneaker’s original outsole tooling, which adidas swapped out for Continental rubber due to grip issues three years ago.
