Earlier this year, we featured mockups of what a Nike x Dragon Ball Z collaboration might look like, courtesy of graphic designer Matthew Walsh, the highlight being the “Goku” Air Max 1.
Now, the designer has brought his Air Max 1 “Goku” to life in the form of a one-of-one custom, to the collective joy of every Dragon Ball loving sneakerhead out there. The sneaker borrows from Goku’s iconic outfit, taking his tattered orange pants and mimicking them with distressed orange canvas. The blue and black detailing on the Swoosh, toe box, laces, and sockliner nod to the hero’s wristbands, belt, and hair, too.
A blue Max Air bubble, multicolored outsole, and Dragon Ball-centric detailing on the tongue and heel complete this gorgeous custom.
Scroll through the detailed images above and leave your thoughts on whether you’d want Nike to release these officially in the comments.
