Editor’s Notes: After their Indian Holi-inspired collection, Pharrell Williams and adidas Originals have moved on to China to design a Yin and Yang-influenced pack of sneakers that pull from the four natural elements of metal (Jin), wood (Mu), fire (Huo), and water (Shui).

The four natural elements are used as aesthetic concepts to introduce four distinct but inherently interconnected sneakers. Each colorway features one of the words “Happy,” “Peace,” “Passion,” and “Youth” on the right shoe with the corresponding Chinese characters embroidered on the left side.

The gold colorway is for friends and family only, with only 300 pairs of this exclusive style given out to those closest to Pharrell and adidas Originals.
