After Avengers: Infinity War set the record for the biggest opening weekend of all time, Ryan Reynolds shared the brutal rejection letter Deadpool received after he applied to be part of The Avengers.
The hilarious letter is from Tony Stark (a.k.a. Iron Man) and bluntly reads: “No. Absolutely not. Go bother Prof. X. No.”
From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats #Avengers. pic.twitter.com/voJshTKx5E

Reynolds took to Twitter to share the image with the caption: “From a guy who never knows when to quit, I’m glad you guys never did. Congrats.”
While Deadpool and Avengers are technically both in the Marvel comic universe, the former franchise is owned by 20th Century Fox and the latter is a Marvel/Disney collaboration, so a crossover probably isn’t on the cards.
Avengers: Infinity War is in theaters now, while Deadpool hits cinemas May 18. Watch the trailers for both below.
