Editor’s Notes: Since images leaked online back in February 2018, PUMA’s Thunder Spectra, the brand’s entrant into the chunky sneaker market, has dominated headlines and been highly-anticipated amid endorsements from celebrities, influencers, and major sneaker retailers.

Now, finally, we are blessed with release information for the Thunder Spectra. Dropping this weekend, on April 28, the chunky sneaker comes in at a very affordable $120. Considering it’s been touted as the wallet-friendly competitor to the likes of Gucci, Balenciaga, and other high-end brands’ chunky sneakers, the price point and the sneaker’s already incredibly popular design could be indicative of a successful future.

In addition, the model pays homage to PUMA’s collaborations with the late Alexander McQueen, as well as old-school ’90s running silhouettes.
