Ron English & Set Free to Launch a SpongeBob-Inspired Weed Plant on 4/20

Visit the original post to see all 7 images from this gallery.

Legendary artist meets cultural ambassador meets iconic toymaker in this collaboration between Ron English, Compound’s creator Set Free, and Made By Monsters’ Chris Kong.

The resulting “toy” is dubbed ‘Ganja Grin’ and is Compound’s version of Ron English’s “Shocking Sunflower” and “Growing Grin” sculptures. The 4/20 theme is strong in this one, as English’s twisted parody of SpongeBob SquarePants features an all-new marijuana sprouted stem along with Purple Haze and Sour Diesel-inspired colorways.

Adding a blacklight turns ‘Ganja Grin’ into a whole new weed strain, while Compound-themed versions will come in gold and platinum colorways, with alternating grin and flower pot details.

This special release is slated to hit Compound’s website on “National Weed Day,” April 20, 2018. Each Ganja Grin is hand numbered and strictly limited to 500 pieces total. Retail will be set at $650.

Flip through the images above and then check out Highsnobiety’s Instagram post below to find out how you can win one of the 500 pieces.
