After deleting all of his Instagram posts, and changing to a purple avatar, J. Cole has since taken to Twitter to seemingly announce a special show going down tonight in New York City. Many are in turn speculating that the Carolina rapper is gearing up to release a new project, which would be a followup to 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only.
Cole’s tweet reads, “NYC. Come through. Couple hours from now. First come first serve,” as the coinciding image insists no phones, no cameras, no bags, no press list, no guest list. Doors to the Gramercy Theatre (127 E 23rd Street) then open at 6 p.m.
